Baking basics course outline 

*Baking of 

Vanilla sponge, Coconut cake,  Chocolate, Fruit and Red velvet cake

-How to make Buttercream and white buttercream 

-Piping Techniques 1: star, rosette, shell, reverse shell,  zig zag (using star tip)

-Piping Techniques 2: Dot/writing, rope, bow, leaf and vein, rose, basket, ruffle

-covering a dummy with buttercream, filling an icing bag, combing, stencilling, texturing, imprint

- Recipe, preparation and covering a dummy with fondant, rolling and colouring

-Fondant techniques 1: rope, embossing, texturing, bow, ruffles

-Cut and paste using cutters, drapes, rose, billows, stencilling, brush embroidery 

-Using silicone moulds 

-Royal icing and gum paste recipe

-Free hand modelling of fruits and objects

-Moulding of cartoon character

-Revision and questions
